Explore Yellowstone’s Back Country
Tucked away in the back country of Yellowstone National Park, miles from paved roads and hectic crowds are some of the world’s most pristine wild trout fisheries. Few anglers ever lay their eyes on the headwaters of the Lamar, Bechler, or Slough Creek let alone get the chance to fish for their native trout.
Oarsmen Expeditions has teamed up with Yellowstone Mountain Guides (Yellowstone National Park Concessionaire) to offer the ultimate wilderness fishing experience. Travel by horseback through breathtaking scenery. Fish until you heart’s content for eager fish. Dine on gourmet “Cowboy Cuisine” by the campfire. Rest soundly out under the bright stars in your comfortable tent.
These first-class pack trips are hosted by our own Steve Hoovler. Steve has worked on these trips with Yellowstone Mountain Guides for nine years. His attention to detail and experience on Yellowstone's remote waters is unmatched. Along with the dedicated crew from Yellowstone Mountain Guides, we’ll work hard to ensure that your trip is a safe, comfortable adventure.
Oarsmen Pack Trips are designed from start to finish as a fly fishing trip. Every detail, from the campsites that we use to the daily routine in camp has been thoroughly inspected to optimize not only our time on the water, but the overall quality of the fishing experience.
For the 2009 season we’re offering three pack trips into Yellowstone’s back country.
